TONY GALLO
Was born in Padua (Italy) in 1975, where he currently lives and works.
Following an early career as a musician, he has been active as a street artist since 2008. His self-taught approach to painting has allowed him not only to consolidate an experimental composition, but also to affirm his unequivocal style. A regular aspect of Tony Gallo’s artwork is the combination of anthropomorphic characters and fairy shapes. His art is characterised by a folk influence, with a juxtaposition between earth tones and occasional bright accents of colour. The final result is a harmonic and gloomy universe created by the author’s imagination. Over the course of several years, Tony Gallo has worked in numerous cities in Italy and abroad. In 2016, Tony Gallo received the prize Noi Generazione Merito at the Galileo Innovation Festival in Padua for his cultural contribution to the city. Among his recent exhibitions we men- tion My Stories, Ischia Street Art Gallery, Ischia (Na) in 2018; Hocus Pocus, Vec- chiato Arte, Padua, L’amour terrible, Start, Bassano Welcome to my forest, Spazio Tindaci, Padua both in 2016; Magical Disguises, Palazzo della Gran Guardia, Padua in 2015; Tony Gallo Art show, Spazio Lumiere Padua in 2014.
